The StelliesJol MAGAZINE is a free Stellenbosch student magazine which is distributed to the students on the university campus. The first issue of the magazine was launched in May 2011 with the second being released a month later in June; the third issue is set for release at the beginning of August 2011.

The colourful high quality gloss art magazine comprises of content ranging from important current affairs issues, inspiring entrepreneurial articles, interesting and well explained scientific “tech bytes”, student recipes, a humour section and more. The majority of the content is provided by Stellenbosch students themselves with a hope of the magazine being run predominately by a team of Stellenbosch students in the near future.

The StelliesJol MAGAZINE also acts as a platform upon which aspiring journalism, design, and BComm students can gain valuable experience and exposure as well as being faced with a certain level of real world experience. These young students are given the opportunity to receive valuable advice and mentorship from our inspiring volunteer professional network.

The founders of the magazine, one of which is a current Stellenbosch BComm student, and the student contributors who have been involved thus far have received valuable real world experience and exposure.

The newly founded initiative has been a huge hit with Stellenbosch students and the feedback thus far has been absolutely outstanding. The StelliesJol MAGAZINE team hopes for the magazine to become self sustainable within the next year once the magazine has become more established.
