Each week we say goodbye to one of our idols. Tuesday only left us with 4 idols and the
competition is at its toughest. The remaining idols are Dave, Crushanda, Freddie and Mark
and all four of them are brilliant in their own way. Crushanda and Dave were however the
top two contestants for this week as South Africa fell in love with them. Mark and Freddie
was the unfortunate and were left in the bottom half. Luckily for them Lefa was voted off
the show on Tuesday evening which gave them a big sigh of relief. Lefa’s performances on
Sunday evening left the judges uncertain on how far he will get in the competition, saying
that it was not as strong as previous performances.
This week the show also featured guest judges Locnville, sharing their opinions on the
performances of contestants on Sunday evening. They also gave the audience an energetic
performance after Jozi gave a sizzling urban performance. Next week’s guest judge will have
the whole of South Africa glued to their screens as Craig David is joining the judging panel.
This UK artist is known for his smash hit “Insomnia”, which performed well on most UK and
US charts. He will also be performing at the show, so it is set to be a show worth watching.
Next week will be one of the most difficult voting weeks as Crushanda, Dave, Freddie and
Mark are all on the same level, even though they might sing different genres of music. Each
of them gets two chances to give all they got and the slightest mistake can send them packing.
Only next week Tuesday will however reveal who South Africa thought was the weakest
after coming Sundays show. This is when we meet our top 3. Who is your favourite Idol?
