Issue 2 – June/July 2011
Editor’s Byte:
The StelliesJol MAGAZINE was successfully launched in Stellenbosch on 4 May 2011.
If you overslept that day and missed out on grabbing a copy, you can flip through the entire magazine on-line at www.StelliesJol.com/MAGAZINE.
Due to the fantastic response that the first issue of the StelliesJol MAGAZINE received, it has become evident that the magazine has the potential to be much more than an informative, entertaining and visually appealing publication. It has the potential to perform as a platform upon which aspiring journalism and design students can gain experience and receive exposure.
The second issue of the StelliesJol MAGAZINE includes articles ranging from ones that will take your mind off exams, such as the Lekker Lag section, to ones intellectually inspiring, such as the Tech Byte which illustrates the emptiness of our solar system.
During these tough economic times, entrepreneurship has become increasingly important and for young aspiring entrepreneurs, this issue of the StelliesJol MAGAZINE introduces you to Nucleus. Turn to Page 8 to find out more.
As exams are coming to an end and you’re starting to plan your holiday, the StelliesJol MAGAZINE features a travel section. In this issue we are providing you with tips for going on an exotic island holiday to Zanzibar – on a student budget! Turn to page 14 for tips and tantalising photographs.
